Thomas Gilbert Ziemdorf

Thomas Gilbert Ziemdorf was born in Waukegan, Illinois on October 5, 1950. He was born to Gilbert Clarence Ziemdorf and Eleanor Elizabeth Wickland and was raised with one sister Susan, one brother Dennis, and a half sister Joann.  Thomas enjoyed creating things and welding and later moved to Southern California- the Long Beach Area and joined the military.  He proudly served in the Navy from 1969-1972.  He worked on mechanics and maintenance on the airplanes.  Following his service, he worked as an electrician and welder and after continued working at The Boeing Company, an Aerospace Company, in Long Beach, California. Thomas enjoyed being in nature, working on airplanes, he loved animals and raising his dogs, talking about cars and collecting them, and was passionate about science and the natural environment.  He had a great sense of humor, knowledge of many things, and loved his children. He is survived by his three kids Priscilla, Krystal, and Jesse, and their mother Lilian.  May he continue to watch over us as an angel in Heaven and Rest in Peace.  We Love You Dad.  Amen.
