Rosario Diaz Sanchez

Rosario “Chayo” Diaz Sanchez born in Quila, Jalisco, Mexico on April 1, 1938. Married Cresencio Sanchez on August 8, 1965. Became an American Citizen on August 26, 1982 and passed away in Ontario, California on February 20, 2025.

Preceded in Death by: Her husband, Cresencio Sanchez, her mother Vincenta Mohamed, her son in law, Steven Contreras and her Grandson, Ryan Contreras.

Survived by: Her daughter, Ofelia “Ofi” Contreras, her son, Vincent “Beto” Sanchez, her daughter in law, Rhonda Sanchez, her granddaughter, Abby Contreras, her grandson, Robert Sanchez, her great grandson, Zenith Sanchez, her sister, Victoria Sidhu, her cousin, Edna Diaz, her cousin, Esther Ibarra, her cousin, Felipe Castellon & family friend Patricia Hildalgo.

Our Mama had a great devotion to the Rosary and prayed it daily. She loved to read, especially enjoyed the stories and verses of the Bible. Her favorites was the Book of Job and Psalms. Mama also loved her garden and feeding her wild birds. She was a great seamstress and her joy was cooking for her family. Mama loved her “casita” home.
