Romana, better know as Romanita, Mami Romana and Hermana Puente is survived by four of her 5 sons Gabriel, Jose, Raul and Luis her many grandchildren and the abundant love of all who knew her.
Romanita’s strength was a product of her faith. Anyone who knew her knows she was strong in the Lord. She raised 5 men and started 5 families all who she prayed for day and night. She led so many people to the gospel and was always of service to God. She was well known for her directing skills as she directed many “dramas” for the congregation. One of her favorite Psalms was...
1 El Señor es mi pastor, nada me falta;
2 en verdes pastos me hace descansar.
Junto a tranquilas aguas me conduce;
3 me infunde nuevas fuerzas.
Me guía por sendas de justicia
por amor a su nombre.
4 Aun si voy por valles tenebrosos,
no temo peligro alguno
porque tú estás a mi lado;
tu vara de pastor me reconforta.
5 Dispones ante mí un banquete
en presencia de mis enemigos.
Has ungido con perfume mi cabeza;
has llenado mi copa a rebosar.
6 La bondad y el amor me seguirán
todos los días de mi vida;
y en la casa del Señor
habitaré para siempre.
Psalms 23
If she were here right now she would tell you to stop crying for she has not lost. She would tell you she’s finally free. She would tell you she won the battle she fought for so long and to fall to the feet of the Lord so you too could join her one day. Romanita just beat us to the final destination we’re all headed too, and her family rests knowing she is no longer in pain and is rejoicing in the Lord
