Maria Emelda Fonseca

Maria Emelda Fonseca, affectionately known as ‘Mary’ by family and as ‘Fonzi’ by her friends, passed away on December 19, 2023 at the age of 48. Maria leaves behind a legacy of love through her two children, Salma Gomez and Daryn Perez, whom she cherished deeply. She is survived by her parents, Ruben and Delia Fonseca, and her two siblings, Ruben Fonseca and Gloria Benavides. Maria was a devoted and beloved mother, who always put the needs of her children first. Despite the challenges she faced in providing for her children, she never wavered her commitment to ensure they received the best possible upbringing that a devoted and loving mother would desire for her children. Her unwavering support for their academic and extracurricular endeavors served as an inspiration to all who knew her. Beyond her dedication to her family, Maria had a radiant smile that could light up any room. Her kindness and warmth touched countless lives, making her a beloved member of her community and a great friend with all whom she worked with. Our beloved Mary will be greatly missed. She will always remain in our hearts, minds, and her legacy will be carried on.
