Lorraine Rose Clark

August 21, 1927 — January 22, 2022

Lorraine Rose (Tarnowsky) Clark was born August 21, 1927 in Detroit, MI.  She was raised by Joseph and Elizabeth Tarnowsky in Detroit and went on to become a member of God's Army of Angels January 22, 2022 (due to Covid).

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, William H. Clark Sr. and is survived by her 6 children, William. H. Clark, Jr., Gary C. Clark, Sandra K Martos, Cynthia A. Clark, Kathy R Willoughby, and Pamela A. Clark.  She had 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, all of whom loved and adored her.  Mom’s greatest love was her family.  She loved her Lord, Jesus Christ, and was an active and devoted Catholic all her life.   She enjoyed going to the movies and attending family get-togethers where you could find her playing baseball, riding a go-cart, or playing games with family in the backyard.  Her favorite actors were Humphrey Bogart, Vivien Leigh and Ingrid Bergman.  Her favorite book was Little Women.

Lorraine lived in Detroit until 1959 when the family moved to Southern California in the Los Angeles County area.  She spent several years in Thailand with family from 1968-1971.  She spent much of her life working to support her family until she retired to Ontario, CA in 1994.  She loved her independence and going shopping to get the best deals.  She also loved going to the Casinos with her daughters and taking weekend trips to the Beach.  Later in life she took pleasure in traveling with members of her family across the U.S., including trips to Hawaii, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Virginia.  In Virginia, she met President Clinton & Vice President Gore who were staying at the same resort as her.  In her few visits to Detroit, she rekindled old family ties with her family who stilled lived there.  She also re-experienced what snow was like by taking a trip to Yosemite in the Winter.

Mom was the Ultimate Survivor and will be greatly missed by all.  A quote from her final wishes said:  "I want to be remembered as a loving & caring Mother to all my children, (Grand and Great Grandchildren)".  God Bless You Mom!  We all look forward to seeing you at Our Grand Reunion in Heaven!

Funeral Services will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2713 S Grove Ave, Ontario, CA 91761.   A Rosary will be said at 10 a.m. for anyone who would like to attend.  Her Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m. and her burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 2161 Fullerton Rd, Rowland Heights, CA 91748, immediately after her service.
