LEOPOLDO ANTHONY TORRANTO

1979-2021

October 5, 1979 - July 26, 2021

Leopoldo "Leo" Torranto was called to be with our Lord on July 26, 2021, at the young age of 41 years old.

From day one Leo was his mama's boy, and her pride and joy. Leo was a lifelong resident of Colton and graduated as a Yellowjacket from Colton High School in 1997.

On July 14, 1997, shortly after graduation and at the age of 17, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. During his time in service, he was stationed in Camp Pendleton, California and Okinawa, Japan. His primary specialty was Aircraft Structures Mechanic. Along his journey he met many different people, some of which became like his family (Chris, Jason, and Jose). He served until July 4, 2002 and was awarded the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, the Marine Corps good conduct medal, the National Defense Service medal, and the Rifle Marksman badge. He was a proud Marine and would fly his Marine flag outside daily. He proudly wore his Marine hats, any clothing with Marine logos, and wore his Devil Dog USMC tattoo with pride. He loved participating in the Colton Veteran's Day parade.

He was well known for helping the elderly in the neighborhood with chores, yard work, or even just spending time with them. He could be seen walking the neighborhood, with a smile on his face, and an ice cold beer in his hand. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Leo Torranto is survived by his father Anthony, sisters Kimberly, Kelley, and Krystal, brother in law David, nephew Raymond, and nieces Madison and Kallie. Leo was preceded in death by his mother Sandra, grandparents Leopoldo and Virginia.


Services will be held Wednesday August 4, 2021 from 10:00am - 1:00pm at Colton Funeral Home, 1275 N La Cadena Drive Colton, CA 92324.
