Joel Allan Pruitt

Joel A. Pruitt, 76, of Bloomington, passed away at 8:29 p.m. on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Goldwater Care Nursing Home in Bloomington.

Joel was born on August 16, 1947 in Wheeler, Texas, the son of Duluth and Wilma (Willis) Pruitt. He married Dolores M. Diaz on March 22, 1967 in California.

Surviving are his wife, Dolores M. Pruitt; daughters, Kristen Armstrong and Jodee Karvala; son-in-law, Carlos Armstrong; sister-in-law, Bea Goodpasture; grandchildren, Alexis DeLara, Jessica Munoz, and Lincoln Armstrong; great-grandchildren, Everly, Kayden, Easton, & Navy DeLara; and his nieces and nephews, Robin Annette, Teresa Kincomon, Cheryl Baker, Susie Cunningham, Summer Maddox, Nicole Wagley, Chris Wagley, Dennis Pruitt, Dominio Lucero, Julie Lucero, Tony Dawkins, Cindy Pruitt, Julie Fields, Donald Kelsey, John Pederson, Jerry Conner, Becky Stroope, Nicole Loveless, Suzette Underwood, Kevin Kelsey, Misty Nesheim, Miguel Goodpasture, Trent Kincanon, Robert Pruitt, Samantha Williams, Joey Williams, Derek Lucero, Nathan Henderson, Ellen Kelsey, Keith Pruitt, Jennifer McPherson, Christina Pruitt, and Dillon Dawkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Jo Allen Pruitt; siblings, Joan Ann, Wilma Lou, Wanda Sue, Jimmy, Willis, Jerry, Tom, and Sam; and niece and nephews, Kathy Lucero, Bobby Heartsong, and Brandon Kincanon.

A local, private family service was held at Kibler-Brady-Ruestman Memorial Home in Bloomington. His public funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Richardson Funeral Home in Ontario, California. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Ontario, California.

Joel served his country in the United States Army and for many years was a truck driver. He will be missed by his family and all who knew him.
