Frank “Lucky” Mena, 83 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife, Irene, children and grandchildren on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023. Frank and Irene were happily married for over 52 years. Their children are Victor (Lynda), Mark, Annette (Rene), Judy (Daniel), Frankie, Zachary (Rosie), Raymond (Yvette). They have 22 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Frank was born in Cañada de Mena, Jalisco Mexico on March 9, 1939. Frank lived a very beautiful life with many hobbies, was a jack of all trades but most important to him was his family. Frank retired from Ameron after working there for 44 years. He couldn’t stay home long before he found himself working with another retirement or two under his belt. Frank was a musician for many years as a guitarist, drummer, trumpet player and any other instrument he’d pick up he would master. Frank sang both in English and Spanish in his bands and mariachi for many years as well. He played men’s fast pitch softball and traveled all over the west coast and Mexico playing ball. He was also the last man standing of the original 13 Founding Members of the Vagos motorcycle club. To know Frank was to love him. He helped raise many nieces and nephews as well as neighborhood children. He opened his home and welcomed anybody in need. Whether it be a warm meal, a place to stay or somewhere to go for some familiar comfort and love. Frank was loved immensely and will be greatly missed by his wife, children, adopted children, grandchildren and many, many others.
