Ernest Jesse Mendoza

On May 25, 2021,

Ernest Jesse Mendoza, Sr. Passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 67.

He was born on August 23, 1953, and lived his whole life in Los Angeles except for his time in the Army when he lived in Oklahoma. He received an Associates' degree in Business from Cerritos College. He loved music and enjoyed many live concerts.

Ernest was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Mendoza, Sr., his brother Daniel Mendoza, Jr., his brother Martin Frenez, and his sister Yolanda Romero. He is survived by his mother Cordelia Romero, his daughter Monica Hathaway (Jeff), his son Ernest Mendoza, Jr. (Sherry), his grandchildren, Morgan Hathaway, Avery Hathaway, Ryan Mendoza, Haley Mendoza and Noah Mendoza, siblings Elizabeth Romero, Debbie Romero, Andy Frenez, Louise Ortiz, Sandra Burgueno, Jessica Ramirez and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

The family wishes to thank the incredible doctors, nurses, and staff at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center for their remarkable care.

Services for Ernest Jesse Mendoza

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 12, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
