Elena’s Obituary
Elena Sideco Dirige, of Colton, California passed away on August 28,2021, at the age of 55 years old. She was born in Manila, Philippines on March 30, 1966. Elena Dirige graduated from St. Mary’s High School, in Jersey City, New Jersey. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Central Georgia Technical College. She married Alberto Dirige in July of 1990.
Elena was blessed with beauty and gifted with multiple talents. During her youthful years she was crowned and represented as one of the Reyna Elena’s of Flores de Mayo, in New Jersey. Elena was ambitious and driven in her career as a business woman. She operated multiple Board and Care facilities, and also managed and owned Pizza Pete’s restaurant in Newport Beach, California. Elena loved to sing and recorded and sang almost 3000 songs in SMULE. She was a very compassionate, caring person with a generous heart, loved by all her friends.
Elena is survived by her daughter-Kiana Elena Dirige, grandchild-Alessandra Dirige, mother-in-law-Filomena Dirige, father-in-law- Romeo Dirige, brother-in-law-Artemio Dirige, and sister-in-law Amelia Wasniewski. Elena loved and adored Kiana and Alessandra, and cherished every moment of their time together. Elena is also the second from the youngest, of the seventeen children, born to her parents Lamberto Sr and Rosario Sideco. She was deeply loved and cared for by all her siblings: Rev. Alberto Sideco, Emelia Sanford, Evelyn Solevilla, Eduardo Sideco, Arceli Liceralde, Lamberto Sideco Jr., Carlos Sideco, Ricardo Sideco, Alicia Reed, Susan Bueser, Jess Sideco, Marlon Sideco, Norman Sideco, Grace Wong, Divina Saenz, and Theresa Dumbrique.
On June 13, 2021, Elena made a public confession, witnessed by family, relatives, and friends, during her baptism at Loma Linda Hospital. She proclaimed that Jesus is her Savior and God, and she believes that “absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” Elena’s message was that she would like today to be a celebration of her life eternal with Jesus Christ her Savior. She will always be remembered for her strong fighting spirit, who never gave up faith and hope and love..
