Barbara Carol Camarena
Obituary
Barbara Carol Camarena was born May 5, 1947 in Alhambra, California to Helen Burciaga and Hayden Albert Swingle. She was the oldest of three children. She passed on June 20, 2022 to be with our Lord.
Barbara is survived by her husband William H. Camarena, her sisters Lorraine Hunter and Jackie Dehner and her four children, Robert W. Camarena, Michelle C. Camarena, Michael H. Camarena and David A. Camarena. She had 10 grandchildren of whom loved her dearly. Barbara was a devout Catholic and an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Montclair for over 40 years. She taught catechism and volunteered much time to her parish.
Mom loved to laugh and could find humor in almost anything. She loved classic movies and television shows. Some of her favorites were the I Love Lucy, Walton’s, Little House on the Prairie and Davie & Goliath just to name a few. She loved the mountains and passed on that love of the outdoors to her children. Mom was a pillar of strength, a great listener and she seldom ever complained.
Your smile and laugh will be greatly missed. We look to the day when we can all be reunited with you again and share some great laughs. We all love you so much and will miss you dearly!
