Alfonso Salazar Martinez

Alfonso Martinez Salazar, 98, died in his home on August 9, 2020 in San Bernardino, California.

Alfonso was born on March 3, 1922 to his mother, Refugio Salazar and father, Anastacio Martinez, in Aguascalientes, Mexico .

Early in life Alfonso Martinez demonstrated that he had a zeal for life and seldom let the opinions of others influence his decisions. This strong spirit was exhibited through all parts of his life, but specifically through his entrepreneurial endeavors. During his lifetime he owned and started dozens of businesses. At 98 years of age he still would regularly discuss new businesses that he was planning on starting.

Alfonso could come across as a stern man but had a soft heart for his family. In his last days he was surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and had a smile on his face.

Alfonso is survived by his son, Saul Martinez and daughter and her spouse, Anna and Lee Coleman, 3 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
