ADRIAN CARREON

It is with great sadness to annouce the passing of Adrian "Turtle" Carreon of East Los Angeles, California.
Adrian entered into rest at the age of 51 on August 06, 2023 surrounded by his family and friends.
Adrian was born on February 23, 1972 in the City of East Los Angeles, California to Guadalupe Acuna and Juan de Dios Carreon. 
He is survived by his mother Guadalupe Apodaca, his sister Marisol Flores, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

There once was a turtle, Unlike any other.
He wasn't a slave to either water or earth, but was a turtle on a path, on a mission.
Wanting to spread love and happiness to all who would listen. 
He began a journey, not knowing where he was going but knowing he had no choice.
God made him in his eyes and had a challenge for him, that only turtle could accomplish
So, he set off to the unknown-with the power of God and his faith in his heart. 
Eyes of a warrior-dark as the Aztec sky, with a bright full moom twinkling in the center.
Skin of our ancestors-brown as our mother earth, with a wealth of natural gifts.
Fists of steel, but never used towards those he loves.
A beautiful, colorful shell-showing crack, scratches and dents of past experiences.
Throughtout his journey, the turtle was both gentle and strong, and perdevered in all weathers-wathcing his steps and always moving forward. 
Soul of a poet with child-like faith, he lived each day to the very last minute.
Sharing his wisdom adn wealth to all who needed him along the way-comforting those who also had damaged shells but had not founf the power to heal theirs. 
Not all were ready to believe as he, anf they they turned their backs and went anoter way-still hurting but unable or unwilling to accept that in front of them.
Stones and sticks were thrown at turtle, and he had valleys, mountains and seas to cross along the way.
His shell got more cracked, scratched and dented, but it healed and always protected him.
Knowing that nothing could stand in his way, with the power of God and the Virgin Mary within him, Turtle continued to move forward, and never looked back.
